Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 lands in gaming laptops

It’s no secret after the announcement of the GeForce RTX 40 for desktop computers: Nvidia is working to bring the Ada Lovelace architecture to laptops. We had already identified some rustling regarding the number of GPUs that will equip these, according to the references gaming ASUS. It is now a Romanian retailer who is releasing a new piece by referencing the HP Omen 17 with the four onboard GPUs.

We will benefit from a GeForce RTX 4060 with 8 GB of graphics memory, a GeForce RTX 4070 also with 8 GB of memory, a GeForce RTX 4080 with 12 GB and the famous GeForce RTX 4090 with no less than 16 GB of video memory.

For this new generation of RTX, Nvidia has therefore planned four versions of its Ada Lovelace architecture, compared to three for the previous version, the GeForce RTX 3090 never having had a mobile version. There is a rebalancing of the amount of video memory. Thus, the RTX xx60 version will have 8 GB of video memory, just like the RTX 4070. On the other hand, the RTX xx80 version goes from 16 GB (RTX 3080 Ti) to 12 GB for the RTX 4080. It is the RTX 4090 that inherits the 16 GB of video memory.

The formalization of these four mobile GPUs should take place during the CES which takes place during the first week of January in Las Vegas.
