How much monthly data volume is required depends entirely on personal preferences. However, it is also clear that many customers have used it more extensively in recent years. At some point there is nothing left but to switch to the next higher tariff. This step is omitted with o2 Grow.
Telefónica presents o2 Grow as “Germany’s first mobile phone tariff that automatically grows with increasing data usage”. At the start, customers will receive 40 GB per month, which is available in Telefónica’s 5G and LTE network. 10 GB per month is added every year. After a term of 20 years – provided you stay in the same contract for that long – customers have a volume of 240 GB month after month. The maximum download speed is 300 Mbit/s.
According to Telefónica, the tariff is adjusted year after year at no extra charge. He costs 29.99 euros per month, if interested parties opt for a contract period of 24 months. For the Flex variant without a term, the network operator wants a one-off connection fee of EUR 39.99 (source: Telefónica).

o2 Grow: Existing customers pay 19.99 euros
Existing customers should also be able to switch to o2 Grow and only pay 19.99 euros per month. This price also applies to the o2 category of “Generation 60 Plus” and “Young People” (under 29 years of age). Two multi-SIM cards and seven data cards can be booked free of charge via the Connect option, so that up to 10 devices can theoretically use the tariff.
o2 Grow stands from May 3, 2022 to disposal. However, the tariff should only be offered for a limited time until September 6, 2022, at least for new customers.
