Obi-Wan Kenobi: Ewan McGregor announces good and bad news to fans

The broadcast of the Star Wars series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” has been postponed for a few days, but its main interpreter Ewan McGregor has however announced good news to subscribers to the Disney + platform.

We could have titled this article about the fact that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series’ air date has been changed, but that would have only left fans of the Star Wars universe unnecessarily worried. The new Disney+ original production has only been postponed for two days, its launch date – originally set for Wednesday May 25 – now being scheduled for Friday May 27.

Announced by Ewan McGregor in person on the official Twitter account of the series, the “bad” news was however offset by another announcement: two episodes, and no longer just one, will be offered on this occasion on the Disney Plus platform. A double pleasure for the fans, which therefore reduces the broadcast window of the series to five weeks (which will only have six episodes).

Third Star Wars live-action series to see the light of day (after The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett), Obi-Wan Kenobi will follow the unpublished adventures of the Jedi knight played by Ewan McGregor; in exile on the planet Tatooine, the latter has set himself the ultimate mission of protecting Luke Skywalker, son of his former padawan Anakin (played by Hayden Christensen, whose presence has also been confirmed in the casting of the series).
