In the fourth episode of “Obi-Wan Kenobi” on Disney+, everyone’s favorite Jedi, Obi-Wan (Ewan McGregor), breaks into the Inquisitors’ stronghold to save young Princess Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair) from the clutches of the Empire to free. To get into the fortress, he uses an underwater entrance.

What can be understood as a nice Easter Egg as an allusion to the video game “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” actually causes more astonishment, because in the video game the Order 66 survivor, Cal Kestis, also penetrates the waterway into the fortress one.

The game takes place five years before Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars chronology. Didn’t the inquisitors have the opportunity to improve the security measures during this time? Is that what the Disney+ series wants us to believe? Or is this meant to fool us into believing that the Inquisitors are so terribly incompetent?

The most logical explanation would be that the Empire and the Inquisitors are so arrogant that few Jedi would dare enter, and that the Jedi and invaders have a very high probability of being caught. And they’d be right about that, because even Obi-Wan didn’t escape easily.

Still, it seems very illogical that the Inquisitors didn’t act after Cal Kestis’ intrusion. Especially since the game belongs to the official canon of the “Star Wars” universe.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” Episode 5 will continue on Disney+’s New Arrivals program on May 15, 2022. A week later the finale of the series will be released and we can look forward to further “Star Wars” releases that will start in 2022.
