Vivien Lyra Blair steals the show from her adult counterparts as the minor heroine in “Obi-Wan Kenobi.” Not her first big appearance…

The first two episodes of the new “Star Wars” series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” have been available on the Disney+ streaming service since Friday (May 27). Ewan McGregor (51) can be seen again in his role as Jedi. But that’s not all the fans can look forward to – the opening episodes had a few surprises in store…

Warning, spoilers!

One of them: Leia Organa, who is still young in the series, is initially the focus. The story told by the new TV show begins ten years after the events of the film “Episode III: Revenge of the Sith” and takes place a few years before “Episode IV”. In “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Inquisitors hunt down the last remaining Jedi after the order’s destruction. Obi-Wan lives in exile on Tatooine. When he’s not working in a desert butcher’s shop, he keeps a distant eye on little Luke Skywalker (Grant Feely). Until he is asked for help by Leia’s father…

Twins Luke and Leia were separated after birth and hidden from their father Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader. While Luke is growing up on his uncle’s farm in Tatooine, Leia is the adopted daughter of Senator Bail Organa (Jimmy Smits) and his wife (Simone Kessell) on Alderaan. When the little princess is kidnapped, after some hesitation, Obi-Wan sets out to find the ten-year-old. Not only the kidnappers and the inquisitors make it difficult for him – the self-confident, cheeky nature of the little princess also causes a stir.

Not the first role for Vivien Lyra Blair

This brings back memories of Carrie Fisher’s (1956-2016) portrayal of the adult Leia. Obi-Wan Kenobi also notes in the new “Star Wars” series that little Leia reminds him of an old friend – a clear reference to her late mother Padmé.

Little Leia is played by Vivien Lyra Blair (9). It is not the first big appearance in the film business for the young star. Blair began her acting career in 2017 and appeared in the Netflix hit film “Bird Box – Close Your Eyes” alongside Sandra Bullock (57) in 2018. In addition, Blair starred in the series “Waco” and “Mr. Corman”.

Fans will find out on Wednesday whether the young actress in “Obi-Wan Kenobi” will have even more chances to steal the show from her adult colleagues. Then there’s the next installment in the “Star Wars” series on Disney+.
