According to information collected by Europe 1, Éric Zemmour as well as several PACA elected officials from the Reconquête party announced that they would go to Toulon this Friday to protest against the reception of the Ocean Viking, a rescue boat with 234 migrants on board. A press conference will be held at midday.

Éric Zemmour, the executive office of Reconquête and the party’s elected PACA officials have announced that they will go to Toulon tomorrow to say no to hosting the Ocean Viking, according to information from Europe 1. “The Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, has just opened a route for migrants in France. By this decision, he sends a terrible signal to smugglers: the French doors are open”, informed the party.

“It is to respond to this decision with serious consequences that Reconquest! decides to go to Toulon tomorrow, to say no to the reception of the ship”, he added, specifying that the elected officials will hold a press conference on site Friday afternoon.

Faced with this reception, the right rebels

Other political parties did not fail to react to the announcement of the reception of the rescue boat. “This agreement is a signal of laxity sent to those who, like these NGOs, exploit human misery”, protested the new president of the National Rally Jordan Bardella, who is asking for a “special commission of inquiry from the European Parliament on the links between NGOs and criminal networks of smugglers”.

The candidate for the presidency of the Republicans and leader of the senators LR Bruno Retailleau also denounced in a press release a “true laxity” and a “false generosity”. His rival to take the head of the party, Éric Ciotti judged that the government was making itself “accomplice of the smugglers” and that it was necessary “to send the boats back to their countries of origin”.
