Octopath Traveler removed from the eShop, but don’t panic

Square Enix And Acquire launched in 2018 on Nintendo Switch Octopath Travelera role-playing game HD2D with 16-bit aesthetics but modern effects. A critically acclaimed title that sold well, it even had a sequel, but in recent days, Octopath Traveler is no longer available on theeShop.

On the site of Nintendothe manufacturer explains that “Octopath Traveler is temporarily unavailable for purchase on the Nintendo Switch eShop and My Nintendo Store since March 1, 2024. The game will be available for purchase again soon”. Obviously, if you already have the title in your virtual library, you can re-download it, but it is not possible to purchase it at the moment.

For what ? Well the Japanese manufacturer hasn’t explained the reason, but Gematsu points out that until recently, the editor of Octopath Traveler was Nintendobut it was modified in Square Enix. It is a safe bet that changes are taking place on the side ofeShopforcing the manufacturer to temporarily withdraw the game, but everything should be back to normal soon. On PC and Xbox One, versions released later, nothing to report, the title is indicated as published by Square Enix and is always available.

Octopath Traveler as a reminder was entitled to a physical version, which you can buy from €53.99 on Amazon, Cdiscount And there Fnac.
