of deputies and associations plead "the urgency"

This Sunday, forty-five deputies as well as personalities and associations signed a platform to plead for a return to the National Assembly of the bill opening the PMA to all women from September.

The bioethics bill was due to be finally adopted in April. The health crisis, however, postponed the adoption of the text by the Parliament. This May 31, 2020, forty-five deputies of all stripes but also personalities and associations signed a tribune at Sunday Journal in order to plead for a return in September to the Assembly of the bill opening PMA to all women. The signatories claim that it is a "emergency". While they understand that the coronavirus pandemic has changed the legislative calendar, they point out that the "A number of fellow citizens challenge us about the legitimate urgency to act and we share their impatience".

Among the signatories, we find the candidate for mayor of Paris, Cédric Villani, the sociologist Irène Théry, the gynecologist Israël Nisand, the leaders of the Association of Parents and Future Parents Gays and Lesbians (APGL), of the Association of Homoparental Families (ADFH), Family Planning and also Inter-LGBT and parliamentarians LREM, MoDem, LFI and also LR. All reveal that the health crisis has "jeopardized many parental projects" and that "by the temporary closure in several European countries of medically assisted procreation centers, many treatments and MAP procedures have been stopped for an indefinite period" . "We cannot resign ourselves to the fact that the health crisis is the receptacle of new discriminations and the theater of yet another postponement of a law, promise of the candidate Emmanuel Macron, allowing all those who wish to start a family", they assure.

Parliamentary calendar has been turned upside down by the Covid-19 pandemic; elected officials were unable to examine it at second reading this text which authorizes PMA for single women and couples of women.

Recently, the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, tried to reassure about the adoption of the bioethics law. He specified that it included"many, beautiful and real societal advances". "If the priority given to the health crisis makes its adoption difficult before the summer, alas, it will be in the next few months!", he said.
