With the exception of the districts of Gmünd and Neunkirchen, from next year all packaging, with the exception of glass and paper, will go into the yellow sack or the yellow bin throughout Lower Austria. This means that in future, for example, PET bottles, shampoo bottles, yoghurt pots, sausage and cheese packaging, beverage and tin cans, beverage cartons and polystyrene packaging will be collected together. These simplifications are important steps to further improve the circular economy in Lower Austria.
