How the pricing table works

Honor has made a nice comeback on the premium smartphone market with its recent Magic 4 Pro. To further occupy the field, the Chinese firm is targeting a wide audience with more affordable models. The brand has just presented the Honor X8 5G, a simple 5G terminal.

This smartphone is equipped with a 6.52-inch LCD panel, which simply displays in HD (720 x 1600 pixels). However, it benefits from a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. With dimensions of 163.7 x 75.1 x 8.7 mm and a weight of 194 g, the device remains relatively imposing. It is in any case thick enough to keep a 3.5 mm mini-jack socket. We also appreciate the presence of a microSD card drawer.

A technical sheet without surprise

Under the slab, Honor has opted for a Snapdragon 480+ coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. This SoC should deliver a comfortable multitasking experience and allow you to indulge in low-power games.

For the photo, Honor relied on a 48-megapixel wide-angle module (f / 1.8), a macro module and a depth sensor of 2 Mpx each. A classic configuration. At the front is housed an 8MP sensor in a teardrop notch.

Autonomy is ensured by a 5000 mAh battery, compatible with recharging at 22.5 W. The presence of an LCD screen and an energy-efficient SoC should therefore allow you to enjoy good general endurance.

The Honor X8 5G will be available from Orange, SFR, Amazon and the manufacturer’s website from September 26, 2022 for €269. It comes in two colors: ocean blue and black. This price may seem a little high compared to that of the Redmi Note 11 (around €190), which has the advantage of offering an Oled screen, but 5G compatibility remains a significant asset.
