Today is the day! The oldest folk festival in Carinthia opens today – the St. Veiter Wiesenmarkt! The “Krone” is on site and will take you with it:
Traditionally, the St. Veiter Wiesenmarkt starts with the opening parade. Around 60 groups with 1900 parade participants were expected. Many visitors were already waiting before 10 a.m. to get seats in the front row. Everyone seems to be in a good mood, even four-legged friends are in the Wiesenmarkt mood.Tents, a party atmosphere, good food and drinks: all this can be found from Saturday (September 24th) to Monday (October 3rd) at the St. Veiter Wiesenmarkt. No one wants to miss this traditional event. “Krone” contestBecause rising prices are currently affecting many and the party budget is shrinking accordingly, the “Krone” is a remedy. One “Krone” regulars’ table in the “Puntigamer Wiesn Stadl” for 6 people including one meal and two drinks per person will be raffled off each day.
