In an interview with the news agency spot on news, Mercedes Müller tells, among other things, why she became an actress, what she values about her role and whether she has already been to the Munich Oktoberfest.

You are 23 years old and you already have an impressive filmography. When did you realize that you wanted to be an actress?

Mercedes Müller: There wasn't a specific moment, it was more of a process. I noticed that I miss it if I don't turn and then turn my hobby into my profession.

What did your parents say about that?

Müller: My parents always supported me there.

What do you particularly like about the job?

Müller: That it never gets boring. You can always slip into new roles, get to know their way of life, work in different cities with new people.

Have you filmed something new since Corona? If so, how has working changed for you personally? What took the most getting used to and what did you get used to quickly?

Müller: Yes, I just shot "Catacombs" for Joyn. The whole team was separated from each other by Plexiglas panels during lunch, which took a lot of getting used to. It is usually very entertaining at lunchtime and everyone had to eat by themselves. Even during castings, the scenes are sometimes recorded with a disc between the actors, hugs in the script, for example, are only hinted at.

What do you think of the real Munich Oktoberfest?

Müller: Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a picture of it yet, next year!

What do you like about your role Clara Prank?

Müller: Your courage. Even if Clara seems protected and naive at first, she develops into a woman who stands up for herself, no matter what the consequences. This development was very exciting for me.

What do you think of your styling in "Oktoberfest 1900"?

Müller: I thought my styling was great! I think the development of Clara just described is also reflected in her clothes. Sure, the clothes weren't exactly comfortable, but they help immensely to slip into the time and role.

Her bright eyes are particularly noticeable in the film. How often are you approached about it?

Müller: I hear sayings about my name much more often and am happy when someone is there who I don't know yet.

Do you have a souvenir from the shoot?

Müller: The parting present was a beer mug with "Blood and Beer" written on it. It has found a place in my kitchen and always reminds me of the beautiful shoot. Actually, I wanted to take a poster of Brigitte, who was painted in her role as a beer girl, but that didn't work out.

Aside from the film business, you are an avid kickboxer. What is it about the sport that fascinates you? How else do you keep fit? And which calorie bomb do you get weak on?

Müller: Back then I had an incredibly great team that you could rely on. In addition, I haven't found any other sport so far that I enjoy pushing my athletic limits as much. At the moment I'm not doing any sport at all and am concentrating on the calorie bombs before I start again with intensive training from next month to prepare myself for my next role. I am looking forward to that.

You have already been featured in some Sunday thriller. Which team would you particularly like to shoot with?

Müller: I would like to see the "Tatort" in Berlin or Münster …
