(Boursier.com) — Olympique Lyonnais SASU, a 100% subsidiary of the Olympique Lyonnais Group, and its president John Textor announce the future recruitment of Laurent Prud’homme (49 years old) as salaried General Manager of the Olympique Lyonnais.
Laurent Prud’homme will be responsible for the direction and management of all day-to-day operations of Olympique Lyonnais, under the direct responsibility of John Textor. Final decisions on “football matters” will continue to be made by John Textor. The football department of Olympique Lyonnais, including the coach/manager and the future sports director, will however report directly to Laurent Prud’homme. He will also be OL’s main contact with government, public, administrative and sporting authorities, such as the LFP, UEFA, local elected officials and the French government.
“Laurent Prud’homme will bring his experience as a CEO capable of driving transformations in the field of media, technology and entertainment, having previously led prestigious institutions such as L’Équipe and Discovery Group. Thanks to his in-depth knowledge of world of sport and with his Lyon origins, Laurent Prud’homme has a strong and ambitious vision for Olympique Lyonnais which he shares with John Textor to reposition the club among European references”, indicates the Group.

Laurent Prud’homme will join Olympique Lyonnais at the beginning of 2024 and at the latest in February 2024.
