Olympique Lyonnais informs of the arrival of the Ivorian international midfielder, Paul Akouokou, from Betis Sevilla for 4 seasons, i.e. until June 30, 2027. The amount of the transfer amounts to 3 M€ which can be add a 20% interest on the capital gain of a possible transfer.
Born in Abidjan, Paul Akouokou arrived at Betis Sevilla in 2018 and started with the reserve team before joining the professional group and discovering La Liga in September 2020. Aged 25, the Ivorian international (4 selections) has played 44 matches in all competitions for the Andalusian club, taking part in the last 2 Europa League campaigns and winning the Spanish Cup in 2022.
Athletic midfielder, solid in duels and very comfortable in the air, Paul Akouokou meets several criteria identified by Laurent Blanc and his staff at the sentry post.
