OL Women’s football: injured ankle, Amandine Henry away from the pitch for a month

Absent in Montpellier last Friday in the league, Amandine Henry will not be traveling to the capital either this weekend, to face Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.

Injured in the ankle during training, the 32-year-old midfielder had to undergo additional examinations at the start of the week to find out the seriousness of her injury.

The French international is suffering from a major ankle sprain which should keep her away from the field for a month, announced Sonia Bompastor at a press conference this Wednesday noon, before the Cup match.

Malard back, Bacha and Morroni uncertain on Saturday against Paris

“We should find her during the international break in February,” said the OL coach.

Spared against Montpellier for “management of sores”, Selma Bacha and Perle Morroni carried out part of the training session away from the rest of the group and are “still uncertain for Saturday”, noted Bompastor, who however found Melvine Mallard.
