The wife of the pop star Olaf Malolepski has breast cancer. There were complications with chemotherapy, he explains.
Pop star Olaf Malolepski (75) worries about his wife Sonja. The 70-year-old suffers from breast cancer, like the musician of the former hit band Die Flippers in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper has betrayed. “Unfortunately, Sonja did not tolerate the chemotherapy at all. There were complications,” explains Malolepski.
“We remain confident”
She is now in a clinic for further examinations. The 75-year-old is “very worried” about his loved one. “But we remain confident, my wife is incredibly strong. We stick together as a family,” said Malolepski. The couple has been married since 1971 and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary that year. They have two children together.
Olaf Malolepski became known from 1967 as a member of the hit band Die Flippers. The group disbanded in 2011. Since then, the Magdeburg native has appeared as a solo artist. Since 2013 he has also been known under the name Olaf the Flipper. Malolepski has released seven solo albums to date.
