Olaf's story will be told in a short film called "Once upon a snowman", available on Disney + on October 23.
He's one of kids’s favorite Disney characters! Olaf, the famous snowman from "The Snow Queen" will soon be entitled to his own film. In any case, this is what Disney announced on social media on September 9. It will be a short film, dubbed "Once upon a snowman", which will look back on Olaf's story (his birth, his quest for identity, etc). Viewers can finally find out why this snowman dreams of summer so much!
As a reminder, Olaf was created by Elsa when she took possession of her powers. According to the American site Deadline, the story will take place after the character creation by the Snow Queen and before her meeting with Anna and Kristoff, in the first installment of the film.
“Frozen 2” arrived in theaters in 2019, eight years after the first one came out! The film was a huge hit with young people who were eager to find out what to do next. It generated no less than $ 1.325 billion in profits, unlike $ 1.281 billion in revenue for the former.
The Olaf story will not be released in theaters but on the Disney + platform. The short film is scheduled for release on October 23.
