Well known under the name of burn-in, or even permanent image retention or screen burns, this phenomenon continues to tirelessly talk about it when we talk about the subject of OLED.

A real crippling weakness for some, a rare phenomenon due to extreme use for others, today we are asking you, Clubic readers, to find out more about your own experience with your OLED screens.

Marked OLED TVs and Monitors: Tell Us All

Do you have one or more OLED screens at home or in the office? Whether it is a gaming screen, a professional monitor, or a television, equipped with an old or new generation panel, we have set up a questionnaire to collect your testimonials .

Your valuable feedback can help us see more clearly on this hot topic, in the context of an article to be published soon. It is particularly a question of knowing whether or not many of you have encountered this type of problem with OLED, under what conditions permanent marking appeared, or even to have your feedback on the latest generations of OLED panels, in particular with QD-OLED from Samsung Display, or OLED panels with MLA from LG Display.

How to check if your OLED screen is marked?

If you use your screen daily and it is marked, you have undoubtedly already identified the impacted areas. Burn-in occurs, most of the time, on static areas of the image, as is the case with television channel logos, HUDs and other interface elements in video games, displays scores on sports channels, or even information banners on continuous news channels.

Thanks to our questionnaire, we give you the opportunity to send us your photos of OLED televisions or monitors that show signs of burns. Ideally, you can use the video above to broadcast uniform color patterns to highlight the pixels degraded by burn-in and take photos where it is clearly visible. This video can also allow those who want to be clear about it to ensure that their OLED screen does not show any traces of marking.

We thank you in advance for your participation!
