Pop singer is dead
Pop star Oliver Frank died last Friday after a “short and serious illness”, his management announced.
Oliver Frank has died at the age of 58. The pop singer died on February 25 “after a short and serious illness”, as his management announced via Facebook.
How the musician died is not known. At the beginning of February, Frank wrote on his private Facebook page about medical tests lasting several days at the University Medical Center in Göttingen. “Cardiac echocardiography, bronchoscopy, and last but not least, MRI,” he listed in the Feb. 1 post.
In 2020 he celebrated his 35th stage anniversary
His management was now “deeply shaken” and reminded of the pop singer: “With numerous hits and his Discofox anthem ‘Italian longing’, Oliver Frank, who celebrated his 35th stage anniversary in 2020, will not be forgotten by his fans and colleagues.”
Frank was born in Göttingen in 1963, he made his first music in his early 20s, his debut album was called “Santa Barbara”. His biggest hit “Italian Desire” was released in 1996.
