Oliver Pocher: Comedian tricked Boris Becker with a fashion prize

In Oliver Pocher's show it got glamorous this time. Together with his wife Amira, he tricked Boris Becker with the "Fashion Brand Award".

Oliver (42) and Amira Pocher (28) tricked Boris Becker (52) with an invented fashion award. The comedian and his wife showed this in their joint show "Pocher – dangerously honest!" on RTL and also on "TV Now" on Thursday evening.

Some time ago Pocher started a gag call for donations with the motto "Make Boris Rich Again" ("Makes Boris Rich Again"), which raised a little more than 540 euros. "Everything was done to reach Boris" and the money was handed over to him, which, however, did not work, the comedian said in a post. Pocher and his team then decided to lure Becker with a prize to hand over the donations to the tennis legend without their knowledge. The "Fashion Brand Award" was born.

Publishing house founded, magazine invented

The comedian and his team came up with a magazine and even founded a publishing house in Austria, the "GE Verlag". Internet pages, e-mail addresses and a telephone number were also needed. A model shoot was even organized for the fake magazine, followed by an Instagram account with bought followers and likes.

In the base of his "Fashion Brand Award 2020", which was later sent to Becker, the remaining money after postage and other expenses – around 413 euros – was hidden. Becker, who apparently had no suspicion that it could be a fake award, even thanked for the award via video link, which was shown in short excerpts on the show.

The action can also be seen again on Pocher's Instagram account. The whole thing was not well received by all users there. One user described the prank as "unnecessary monkey theater". Another user asked: "The man is already on the floor. Why hit it?"
