Olivia Coleman: Lifetime Achievement Award for the Queen Actress

The British actress Olivia Colman ("The Crown") is awarded the film prize for her life's work in Zurich.

British actress Olivia Colman (46) has already received the Oscar for her portrayal of Queen Anne ("The Favorite"). Now the character actress has been awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Zurich Film Festival. The daughter of a nurse receives the "Golden Eye" for her life's work.

Coleman's latest film "The Father" will celebrate its gala premiere at the International Film Festival (planned release: December 18). Coleman plays alongside Anthony Hopkins (82), his daughter, who reaches her limits when she wants to look after her demented father.

Another honor for Colman

In 2019, Colman was raised to the rank of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) by Queen Elizabeth II in the Birthday Honors. Coleman had taken on the role of Queen in the third season of the Netflix series "The Crown" and was hailed by the critics for her portrayal as the reserved head of state.

Coleman originally wanted to be a primary school teacher, played theater while studying at Cambridge and met her husband, the producer Ed Sinclair (58), there. The couple have two sons and a daughter.
