All eyes are on New York once a year to watch the craziest looks chosen by stars attending the Met Gala – the last edition was on May 2. But on the other side of the American continent, another event seems to compete with this glamorous parade for only two years. This is the annual Academy Museum Gala held at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, which already attracts the entire planet. It is thus, therefore, that actresses, actors and filmmakers met, on Saturday October 15, 2022, to toast in honor of the 7th art.
This year, the Met Gala was themed In America: An Anthology of Fashion, a theme built around American style and the unsung heroes of American design. However, some people seemed to have had the same idea by playing the card of audacity and transparency. This is particularly the case of the director and actress Olivia Wilde, who had opted for a sublime Alexandre Vauthier Couture dress, both sparkling and completely readable. Kaia Gerber, the daughter of Cindy Crawford, was a sacred competition with the help of an extremely tight, but also translucent black mermaid dress, signed Alaïa.
