Actress and director Olivia Wilde has just signed an agreement with Sony studios for a still very mysterious project … She is expected to make a feature film about one or more superhero (s) from the Marvel / Sony universe.

While the name of this new project remains a secret for now, all bets are on a new version of Spider-Woman!

Indeed, Sony owns the rights to Spiderman, despite a few breakouts of the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
So it looks like the two studios struck a deal in September 2019 to keep the character in the MCU.
However, for the moment, no official information indicates that this project is part of it … Even if, so far, all the clues seem to lead to this hypothesis:

First on Twitter, Olivia Wilde shared a link to the article recounting her new project, adding a spider emoji as a caption … A clue that seems, at first glance, rather obvious …

Then on Instagram, the actress and director shared a photo of her 3-year-old daughter wearing a Spider-Man costume …
Coincidence?… Hmm… We don't think so!

Remember that on the cinema side, the Marvel universe is divided into two categories: the Avengers and the X-Men on the Disney side, and the world of Spider-Man on the Sony side.

This new project, directed by Olivia Wilde, is slated to be written by Katie Silberman and produced by Amy Pascal, with Rachel O'Connor as executive producer.

While waiting for this future feature film, Olivia Wilde, Katie Silberman and Amy Pascal are all currently working on writing a Christmas movie for Universal.

Marvel is expected to feature a homosexual superhero soon.
