For several weeks, Olivia Ruiz was confined in the Aude near her parents' home. "I had to get close to them, just in case. But I didn't see them because I think I was sick at the start of the period: putting them in danger was out of the question", she explained the columns of the JDD, Sunday May 31. While she is convinced that she has been affected by the virus, she has very bad memories. "It's like laryngitis mixed with migraine and gastroenteritis. For ten days, I was in a state of exhaustion, with the symptoms: I attributed this to Covid-19 without being diagnosed", she said. And to continue. "My doctor told me to watch for my shortness of breath, but it didn't degenerate. I took care of myself."
Olivia Ruiz's career
During this complex period, the 40-year-old singer was also forced to put her career on hold and stop her concerts like other artists. Isolated, she lived a stressful moment, far from her audience. "It’s a time of great trouble for everyone, even for the better off of which I am one. I have the impression that the earth opens under our feet. At one point, I felt drawn, whereas I am normally a living force ", she said. And the young woman blames herself for not having felt the danger: "I took the metro four times a day in the week before confinement. Not feeling the danger coming. Especially since we were encouraged to vote … When we fear death, we do not send people vote. "
