As part of the Ségur de la Santé, the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran, announced, Monday, June 29, 2020, a salary increase for doctors in the hospital, to the tune of 300,000 million euros. The latter includes targeted salary increases at the start and end of their careers, the revaluation of several bonuses [exclusive public service commitment, weekends and public holidays, editor's note] as well as additional working time. However, according to several sources in theFrance Media Agency, this figure is much lower than the seven billion requested by the unions who do not hide their deep disappointment.
Olivier Véran a "bad minister"?
One of the union officials, questioned by our AFP colleagues, reveals that "the disillusionment is enormous". For one of his colleagues, the figure is relatively low given the "100,000 doctors, pharmacists, odontologists hospitable"concerned. This" inadmissible "situation leads to a new day of mobilization Tuesday, June 30, 2020:"Mobilization tomorrow Tuesday June 30. No national demonstration, but rallies around hospitals, #clinics, #EHPAD in a thousand cities, with the population, for a great popular mobilization!", writes a union on Twitter.
It is not the first time that the Minister of Health has been strongly criticized. On June 5, 2020, on the LCI set, journalist Franz-Olivier Giesbert, described Olivier Véran as "bad minister"believing he should"make amends because he made a wrong decision once again. "
According to many unions, a new meeting is scheduled with the successor of Agnes Buzyn, Thursday, July 2, 2020.
