Samsung demonstrates the robustness of its outdoor television “The Terrace” in a stalactite cave in Postojna, Slovenia. There, “Olme-TV” now runs 24/7 on the device for visitors.

The South Korean manufacturer Samsung is not only known for its Galaxy cell phones, but also for its Smart TVs. A particularly robust example of this is the outdoor television “The Terrace”. It is not only protected against water and dust according to IP55, but is also designed to withstand temperatures between -31 and 50 degrees Celsius. To demonstrate this, Samsung has now installed it in Postojna Cave.

The approximately 24 km long cave system in Slovenia is the second largest stalactite cave accessible to tourists in the world. Instead of promo videos for Galaxy products, “Olme-TV” is shown here on “The Terrace”.

The Samsung television broadcasts the live image from a camera placed in the nest of the olms, giving visitors a closer look at the animals, often referred to as baby dragons, which can live up to 100 years.
