The decision has been made: Foreign fans are not allowed in the stadiums there at the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The decision has been made: At this year's Summer Olympics in Tokyo, due to the corona pandemic, no foreign tourists will be there, let alone in the stadiums and sports arenas. The Japanese organizers informed the International Olympic Committee of this decision. The same applies to the subsequent Paralympics. Sports fans are to be denied entry at the borders and airports. Tickets already purchased would be reimbursed.

According to reports, around a million tickets have already been sold abroad. Most recently, especially in Japan, the question of whether the Olympic Games should not be postponed again has arisen again. In some surveys, the clear majority of the Japanese were in favor of this. A complete rejection is also controversial in public. Whether locals can enter the stadiums and sports facilities will be decided at the beginning of April.
