Omar Harfouch readily stands out for his brilliant versatility. Everyday businessman – new owner of Entrevue magazine – he is also a virtuoso pianist. Hhumanist and engaged, the husband of Julia Lobova does not hesitate to be on the front line to defend causes that are particularly close to his heart. So this Wednesday, March 6 at the Municipal Theater of Béziers, the musician who is also a composer once again distinguished himself on stage and in music. The opportunity for him to reveal to music lovers his new creation “Concerto for Peace” that he imagined with maestro Houtaf Khoury as reported Le Figaro.

In front of an audience captivated by his art, Omar Harfouch was able to brilliantly lead them into a whirlwind of emotions under the direction of Mathieu Bonin. Accompanied by Béziers Mediterranean, the city’s symphony orchestra composed of 45 musicians, the latter associated its intoxicating notes with those of the famous violinist Anne Gravoin. The very talented soloist Michaël Seigle also attended the event.

New artistic success for Omar Harfouch

Time seemed to stand still in the auditorium, which is a large place steeped in history. And for good reason, it is one of the oldest Italian theaters in France as noted by our colleagues fromInterview. At the end of their sumptuous performance, Omar Harfouch and his partners were rightfully entitled to a royal standing ovation which lasted more than ten minutes.

Before performing his new work, Omar Harfouch gave a very moving speech in which he recalled his difficult childhood in Tripoli, in a context marked by war and declared: “Why ‘Concerto for Peace’? I was born in Lebanon in the city of Tripoli. Throughout my childhood and adolescence, I only saw the civil war that ravaged my home country. J “I survived thanks to the piano. It was my refuge and saved my life. So it was natural for me to write for peace and to tell that only peace can save our children and our grandchildren, and nothing else”.

Omar Harfouch also added: “In front of you is an orchestra that includes 45 musicians, and I have not asked them, not once, where they come from or what their religion or political affiliation is. All that mattered to us during our training days was to play in harmony, to play transparently, to play in tune and with our hearts, because all that mattered was to play together and give back. ‘hope to others (…).” A wonderful speech that left no one in the room indifferent.

To the delight of music lovers, the businessman will continue his tour around the world to spread this beautiful message of love and peace. Particularly in the Spanish parliament and the Vatican. Unsurprisingly, many public figures often come to attend these exceptional shows, as our slideshow demonstrates. “Only music can transmit peace, and only music can change history”, declared Omar Harfouch to the spectators. Upcoming symbolic meetings not to be missed!
