While he had to perform a stunt with his idol, Omar Sy found himself totally destabilized, as he told it on Saturday March 6, 2021 in the American show. "We were making a movie in Italy, in Venice, it was Ron Howard's Inferno. It was my first day on set, I was very nervous, and I had to drag Tom Hanks in person, because he was doing the stunt himself, in a boat, " the actor recalled to Jimmy Fallon, who is currently filming the sequel to Jurassic World.

Unfortunately, the stress seemed to have prevailed over it that day: "I thought : 'Keep calm, be careful, don't hurt him', because who wants to hurt Tom Hanks? It is an international treasure. (…) I was really relieved. And there I took a step back, and I fell into the water, in the Grand Canal. We weren't even filming, it was rehearsals !", launched the happy father, obviously still very amused by this event which made Tom Hanks laugh a lot at the time. "Tom Hanks is really nice and very funny, he made jokes about it all day, he said: 'Remember that there is water in Venice ! ’" There is no doubt that this initially embarrassing mishap, now sits as one of his fondest filming memories …
