An enraged mother punched a 12-year-old boy in the face at Conham River Park in Bristol last March. She went to court on Thursday January 12 for racism.

Following an argument on the river, Fay Johnson32, hit a boy, Anthony Forrest12 years old, with a two-meter paddle. Which cut the young boy’s forehead, thus letting blood flow. This excess of rage would have occurred aftera group of children threw mud and rock on his paddleboard. This as Fay Johnson passed the group on the river with her three children.

The former service advisor Luxury Dick Lovett would then have faced the group made up of 30 children. After some exchanges with the young boy, she then hit him with her paddle. “But there was no evidence that Antwon threw anything at his paddle board“, could we hear at the Assize Court of Bristol, on Thursday, January 12th. A witness saw them push each other, after which the defendant used the paddle she was holding to hit Antwon Forrestexplained the prosecutor, Ehsanul Oarith.

She faces four months in prison.

After Avon and Somerset Police arrived, Fay Johnson was arrested, but was released and was not prosecuted. Following a campaign by Antwon Forrest’s family, the case was reviewed and reclassified as “racist character. During the sentencing, Judge Edward Burgess said the attack was not not motivated by racism. Defense lawyer Emma Martin explained that the children had thrown rocks which had touched Fay Johnson’s daughter. Judge Edward Burgess sentenced Johnson to four months in prison, suspended for six months.
