On a Tyrolean construction site – fuel thieves tapped 1500 liters of diesel

Fuel is a coveted commodity, especially in times of massive inflation – even among criminals: Unknown persons tapped 1,500 liters of diesel at a construction site in the Tyrolean lowlands at the weekend. There is no trace of the perpetrators.

The fuel thieves were up to mischief at the weekend on a construction site in Angath (Kufstein district). “They broke open two diesel tanks and two diesel compressors and pumped out around 1,400 liters of diesel,” the police reported.Police hope for witnessesBut that’s not all: the strangers tapped another 100 liters from two forklift vehicles. The perpetrators were able to flee undetected. The police are now hoping for possible witnesses.
