On Instagram, you can now post reels just for your friends

Do you like making videos and posting them on Instagram, but your account mixes personal and professional life, so all your content is not intended to be seen by all of your followers? There is now a solution to reduce the audience of your reels.

Mark Zuckerberg announced last week that it will now be possible to share videos with his list of “close friends”.

How to reduce the audience of reels?

If you want to reduce the audience of your reel, simply upload your video as usual. Then, before clicking on ShareClick on the button Hearing. You can then choose between “Everyone” and “Close Friends”.

If your Close Friends list is empty, click Close friendsthen select the people you want to add to this list.

A wind of TikTok on Instagram

New features to edit reels more easily have also been announced. The new interface, increasingly similar to that of TikTok, offers scaling your video, cropping it, rotating images and options to undo edits or redo them.

Still drawing inspiration from TikTok, which has offered voice synthesis since 2020, Instagram announced the addition of 10 voices to choose from, in English, enabling this service. To improve the readability of the text, the social network offers six new options and new outlines to make it stand out.

It’s also becoming easier to add audio to Reels, with Instagram offering quicker access to the audio page from the Photo Library.

Instagram also offers something new regarding draft reels, with a simplified presentation designed to facilitate their viewing and modification. It will now be possible to preview them, rename them and schedule them.

Finally, Instagram is testing new ways to create personalized stickers, using your photos and videos or content found on the network. This new feature will work thanks to Meta Segment Anything’s artificial intelligence model.

More analysis tools

In the analytical segment, the social network now offers more analysis data. In particular, it will be possible to know the number of times content has been “reviewed”, in addition to the number of “initial readings”. The new measurement will appear in the “Plays” section, which will now offer “Replays” in addition to “Initial Plays”.

In the coming months, Instagram will also make it possible to track how many people watched a reel at each moment.
