Gmail extends its translation tool to its mobile app
The specialized site SamMobile tells us that Google is currently deploying a native translation feature for its Gmail application. Concretely, when you receive an e-mail in a foreign language, you just have to click on the “Translate” button. This will bring up a gear-shaped icon that will allow you to choose the language in which you want to translate the message (more than 100 languages are available). And if you want to go even faster, you can directly choose to “Detect language”.
Available now on Android and iOS devices, this update does not require any action on your part (Gmail version 2023.07.23.x). Note, however, that the deployment may take a little longer on iOS. Finally, if it was already possible to translate its messages in the mobile application of Gmail, the manipulation required to provide some additional effort. With the addition of such a feature, translating your emails has never been easier. And in case you don’t want to take advantage of it, the option can be disabled from the translation settings.
