On the day of reading – “Weltrettdings”: Book about the environment is a hit

“Krone” reading uncle Christian Krall was a guest at the practical middle school at the University of Education in Klagenfurt. There was also a lot of reading in MS 12.

The ministry has made March 21st “Austrian Reading Day” – and of course that is THE day for Christian Krall. The actor and director has been the reading uncle of the “Krone” “Adventure Reading” initiative for years. Christian is usually accompanied by our mascot Theo, the reading fox. The young people in middle school were perhaps too old for that, sorry, too cool. Reading and listening was still a hit in the 1a class of the practical middle school at the University of Education! A book to think aboutChristian had written the book “Biepmatz makes forest out of you! Saving the world for advanced people” by Michael Stavarics with illustrations by Stella Dreis. In it, a jay talks in youth language about the conflict between humans and the environment – which is intended to make you think. And so it happened. After the reading, the topics of the environment and waste were discussed eagerly. Rating: worth imitating.By the way: “Krone” reading uncle Christian has long been known, popular and also on the move throughout Austria through live readings, but especially through his reading videos. A considerable collection of thoughtful, stimulating, exciting and funny reading adventures can now be found on the Internet at www.kidskrone.at and is child-friendly because it is even ad-free. Reading fox Theo is back in action on Saturday: the Easter campaign and season opening of the forest adventure world Theo can’t miss a visit to St. Kanzian on Lake Klopein, and he also meets his clever friend Reiny Reineke there. Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m., then the well-hidden Easter eggs have to be found – great prizes await! Familiar faces read to children. There was also a lot of reading in middle school 12 in Klagenfurt. “Reading is a limitless childhood adventure,” quotes director Birgit Lattacher, the well-known children’s and young adult author Astrid Lindgren. Elementary school children from VS 11 visited there and listened intently to the stories being read out loud. Not just students, but also guests such as Mayor Christian Scheider, rapper John Patrick Platzer, Timm Bodner from Antenne Kärnten as well as Helga Happ (reptile zoo) and Jonas Claussen, head of the educational service in Carinthia. “The highlight was the raffle, where there were lots of great prizes to be won. The main prize was a bicycle from Beinl. We would like to thank all of our readers and sponsors for this great morning!” say the organizers.
