One of them wanted to know for sure: A 38-year-old was driving on the A1 with summer tires in wintry conditions. His car slammed into the center rail. But then the problems only began.

The 38-year-old Romanian, who lives in Pasching, was driving his car in wintry road conditions and poor visibility on Saturday at around 8.45 a.m. on the A1 in the direction of Salzburg – with summer tires! Hurled against the guardrail at Asten, he promptly skidded and crashed against the concrete central guard rail and came to a standstill in the area of ​​the third lane across the road. Without securing the scene of the accident or waiting for the police to arrive, the 38-year-old simply fled from the scene of the accident in an unknown direction. Taken drugs The investigating police officers were able to find typical objects for drug consumption in the vehicle. The suspect was eventually located at the residence address during the course of the inquiries, with clear signs of drug impairment being identified. The 38-year-old was brought before the police doctor and considered unfit to drive. No driver’s license But that’s not all: the man couldn’t have his driver’s license taken from him, because he doesn’t have one. The badly damaged and no longer drivable car was removed from the scene of the accident.
