Shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday evening, the volunteer fire brigades from Bischofshofen and Werfen moved out. The reason: a fire broke out on the site of the Lackenhof demolition site in Bischofshofen-Kreuzberg.
The flames blazed up into the sky and were visible from afar: A roof truss fire had broken out in the empty farm building of the former farm in Bischofshofen. Around 60 members of the fire departments from Bischofshofen and Werfen fought the fire at Lackenhof. The fire was under control by around 11 p.m. The area is in the north of the city, not far from the Salzach. The two local fire brigades were quickly on site. However, the search for a homeless man suspected of being in the building made the work for the Floriani challenging. However, a respiratory protection team could not find anyone in the empty building. Demolition work is currently being carried out on the site of the former farm for the new sports center in the city of Bischofshofen. In addition to building parts of the former farm, existing power lines were removed, among other things. The gas line running along the railing to Oberpinzgau is relocated.
