Record Store Day was created in 2008 in the United States and aims to promote independent record stores which face strong competition from streaming platforms and hypermarkets. Inaugurated in 2011 in France, this record day takes place every third Saturday of the month of April and is an opportunity for many artists and record companies to release special and limited editions of certain albums. This is the perfect opportunity to launch our first comparison of vinyl turntables.

The different turntables passing through our lab are all subject to the same test protocol. We study in detail the assembly, materials and construction quality of each. We also note the functions and settings made available. Finally, we carry out certain measurements (distortion, crosstalk, weeping, etc.) in addition to listening in order to dissect, for you, the sound performance of each product.
