It’s no secret: the Mountain View company likes to integrate “magical” features into its phones. You are probably already familiar with the formidable magic eraser of the Google Pixel, which allows you to delete unwanted elements found in your photos in no time. On X.com, a netizen named EZ shared a promotional video, a priori official, future Google Pixel 8. This one emphasizes a brand new feature. Her name ? AudioMagic Eraser.

Like the magic eraser introduced with the Pixel 6, Audio Magic Eraser will allow you, thanks to your smartphone, to erase unwanted sounds present in your videos. Concretely, and as you can see in the excerpt above, the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will start by identifying and separating the different audible sounds in a video clip. Finally, all you have to do is select the desired sounds (noise, voice, music, etc.) using the dedicated cursors in order to reduce their volume, or else completely suppress them if you wish. Really handy, don’t you think?

What other features for the Google Pixel 8?

This is not the first time that Pixel 8 features have leaked on the Web before the hour. Last May, we learned for example that the future top of the range from Google could integrate a temperature sensor, and that it could also serve as an on-board camera when you are in the car. More recently, new clues suggested that the next smartphones in the Pixel 8 range would have a DisplayPort mode so that they could be used as real computers.
