One is already gone – F1 boss Toto Wolff is selling his super Ferraris

Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff makes space in his garage: The Viennese parted with his rare Ferraris and his Mercedes SL 65 AMG Black Series. Or in one case you have to say: He broke up because the Ferrari Enzo is already gone. That leaves the sensational LaFerrari.

Wolff is doing the same as the German Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel, who did not want to keep his Ferraris when he left the Italian racing team. His sales vehicle fleet was larger, however. Both motorsport stars use the services of the British car dealer Tom Hartley jnr.

Why does Wolff part with his treasures? “I don’t have time to drive the cars anymore. “And it doesn’t look particularly good when I’m cruising around in a Ferrari.” So now someone else is supposed to look good at the LaFerrari. More precisely in the LaFerrari Aperta, the Targa version of the hybrid supercar.

Ferrari LaFerrari
The bolide is limited to 210 copies. The Mercedes sports director has owned it for three years; he bought the 963 hp car new in 2018. The hybrid drive consists of a 6.3-liter V12 and an electric motor. “La F” has a carbon fiber chassis that was laminated by hand in the F1 workshop under the direction of Formula 1 chief designer Rory Byrne. The hybrid athlete weighs only 1365 kg, 60 kg of which are lithium-ion batteries 59% of the weight is on the rear axle, the center of gravity is 35 mm lower than that of the Enzo. The aerodynamics are actively designed and automatically adapt to the driving conditions, front and rear.

The driver’s seat is fixed and adapted to the driver. He can, however, adjust the pedals and the steering wheel as required, whereby the F1 stars Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have brought their experience to the table.

Estimate: four million euros.

Ferrari Enzo
Would you like to have bought the Ferrari Enzo? Unfortunately it’s already gone. Also a special piece. Wolff bought it in 2014 when the 660 hp bolide was already nine years old and had a good 2000 kilometers on the clock. Wolff is said to have only driven 350 kilometers with it, on a trip through the Alps together with Niki Lauda. Estimated price: around 3 million euros.

Mercedes SL 65 AMG Black Series
Wolff’s Mercedes SL 65 AMG Black Series is available for significantly less money. Incidentally, the same model that Sebastian Vettel offered. The AMG was built in 2009 as one of only 350 copies. Its six-liter turbo V12 develops 670 hp and delivers 1000 Newton meters of torque. Toto Wolff has a special relationship with the model series: He was one of four test drivers involved in the development. The list price was around 300,000 euros.
