Jan 27 (Reuters) – A security guard has been killed and two others injured in a shootout at the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The assailant, who was armed with a Kalashnikov automatic assault rifle, was arrested.
According to the Iranian news agency Tasnim, the Tehran police suspect a personal motive, the suspect having gone to the embassy with two small children. (Written by Caleb Davis, French version Tangi Salaün, editing by Kate Entringer)
