One More Gate, the Roguelike game Ankama version

In addition to Waven, Ankama’s video game cell is preparing another release for 2023: One More Gate. Announced at the Krosmonote, this new opus in the Krosmoz universe offers a new turn-based version specially designed to improve the fluidity of the format.

The story follows in the footsteps of Oropo, probably amnesiac and linked to a village where he seems mysteriously prisoner. The player can then explore his surroundings, facing different families of fairly iconic monsters in the universe (Gobballs, Chafers) while recovering loot and skills before a fairly certain death.

Indeed, the project is also illustrated by its “Roguelike” approach. You will die, but this will not penalize you. On the contrary, any new exploration brings you something to start over and start again on a more solid basis, notably through the village “hub”. More specifically, the game is characterized as a “Roguelite”, with a death not fully resetting your progress.
