The team behind the creation of Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology and The Quarry finally reveals images from its next title. Coming from the Dead by Daylight universe, this new game aims to bring the lore of the famous asymmetrical horror game to life.
A bloody shoot
Presented for the first time during the last Game Awards ceremony, The Cast of Frank Stone, has finally been shown in more detail. Behavior Interactive shared a gameplay video for the eighth anniversary of Dead by Daylight. Developed by Supermassive Games, The Casting of Frank Stone takes place in the same universe as the famous asymmetrical horror game and aims to enrich the lore with an interactive film-style experience.
With such experience, the gameplay presentation video necessarily focuses on scary and intriguing video sequences. The software seems to be in line with previous Supermassive productions and places emphasis on the acting of its actors and a horrific atmosphere worthy of the best films of the genre.
A logical collaboration
The Casting of Frank Stone was born from the initiative of Behavior Interactive who sought to bring to life the universe of their hit Dead by Daylight. If the game offers a pleasant asymmetrical experience, it must be admitted that it generally ignores an entire narrative section and is content to immerse players in a universe which reveals almost nothing of its foundations. With The Casting of Frank Stone, Behavior Interactive wants to offer Dead by Daylight fans a way to delve further into the horror of the game. In fact, the studio has decided to collaborate with Supermassive Games, a specialist in horrific narrative games, to develop this new title. And in the end, The Casting of Frank Stone could well combine the best of these two worlds and enrich the license in the best possible way.
