One of the best series on the small screen, available exclusively on Apple TV+ and nowhere else, is preparing its return. A big announcement awaits viewers.
We constantly talk about Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+, but other SVOD platforms are also on the market like Paramount+, Universal+ or Apple TV+. After only five years of existence, the Apple firm’s video streaming service has proven to be an extremely serious competitor. Not for the quantity of programs available, but for the quality of the 100% original films and series. A philosophy almost the opposite of other offers in the sector, but which really works.
An Apple TV+ phenomenon series returns in 2024
Apple TV+ therefore definitely does not box in the same categories as the usual SVOD platforms. The Apple firm probably sees it as a very secondary business, which perhaps pushes it to be more inclined to prioritize the relevance of the films and series on which it is banking. For example, $250 million was spent to secure the exclusivity of Martin Scorsese’s latest film, Killers of the Flower Moon.
But if the service also makes the headlines and regularly gets good words from the press, it’s for its original series. Television shows often win awards, such as the recent SF production Silo with Rebecca Ferguson (Dune). And among the Apple TV+ essentials, we find the series Severance which received a veritable shower of praise from all sides. Adam Scott also won the 2023 Golden Globes for Best Actor, while John Turturro walked away with the statuette for Best Supporting Actor during the ceremony.

Why talk about it again today? With the success of the first season, a season 2 of Severance was ordered. Will it soon be available on Apple TV+? Yes.
