One of the biggest Netflix series, which was a hit as soon as it was released on the platform, will return for a season 2. We already have a video preview which should delight fans.

Netflix rarely goes wrong with its original productions from a business standpoint. The firm with the red N even managed to create a surprise with the cardboard of The Mother of the Bride. A romantic comedy with Brooke Shields, which is part of the new releases for May 2024, and which rose to first place in the top 10 films. But the platform is also regularly a hit with its exclusive series. One of them has also been renewed and here is a first teaser trailer while waiting for the release.

A big Netflix series will return in the coming months: Sandman. The live-action adaptation of the comic created by Neil Gaiman. “After a century of captivity, Dream, the Sandman (Tom Sturridge), a powerful cosmic being who controls our dreams, must explore different worlds and temporal continua to put an end to the chaos caused by his absence” official synopsis via N.

And this first appearance on the small screen was a success since in one week, the series accumulated almost 70 million hours viewed. The reviews are rather positive with Rotten Tomatoes scores of 88% (press) and 80% (viewers), while the IMDb average is 7.7/10. But it is the fact that it is one of the most watched series which played into the balance for the renewal. Season 2 of Sandman is therefore arriving on Netflix and it reveals part of its cast with a nice surprise.

This Sandman season 2 teaser confirms the presence of the characters Dream, Death, Desire and Despair who form The Endless. A family of seven anthropomorphic personifications, each representing universal concepts, as their names suggest. But the surprise is not there. “Get ready for one hell of a family reunion. Who are its new faces? A trio composed of Destiny, Delirium and The Prodigal aka Destruction. Roles played respectively by Adrian Lester (the Nell Rebelle series on Disney+), Esme Creed-Miles (Hanna on Prime Video) and Barry Sloane (John Price in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3).
