one of the game’s biggest secrets was right before our eyes

Since the publication of the GTA 6 trailer, it’s been madness and fans are analyzing the content from every angle, although meager, to try to unearth all the secrets. So, we would already know the game map.

After carefully analyzing the record-breaking GTA 6 trailer, fans turned to the game’s official artwork, convinced that they had discovered something totally crazy. Either the fans’ imagination is overflowing, or the developers at Rockstar are little secretive and pranksters.

The GTA 6 map: a deliberate leak?

Reddit user InevitableLibrary387 has revealed what he believes to be a glimpse of the GTA 6 map hidden in the only official artwork released by developer Rockstar for the highly anticipated sequel to the saga.

Tell me I’m not the only one who sees it, Vice Beach on the right, a town in the middle, and islands scattered around said InevitableLibrary387.

If you have trouble spotting the map in question, it is in the bottom right of the image and requires a good zoom. Fans believe this blurry image shows a general outline of Leonida, the fictional version of the state of Florida in GTA 6, or at least a set of islands. Maybe not the full GTA 6 map, but potentially part of Leonida. It even shows what looks like a few cities, suggesting that, if this map is indeed a preview, GTA 6 will feature multiple cities – a rumor that has been circulating around the game for some time.

The real investigative work begins now. Twitter user @NikTekOfficial went so far as to use color correction to make this map more visible and compared it to an ongoing community mapping project built from 2022’s GTA 6 leak.

What size map?

So, stroke of genius or overly advanced interpretation? This is the current debate among fans. The size of the GTA Vice City map is generally considered modest, especially in comparison to other installments of the Grand Theft Auto series released subsequently. We can therefore imagine that, aware of this state of affairs, the developers decided to add different cities so that players do not feel cramped, especially when we are used to the rather gigantic size of GTA 5 , itself larger than that of San Andreas. Several cities would, for example, allow the map to be well segmented as is the case in several episodes, with a progressive discovery of the city directly linked to the player’s progress in the story.
