One of them fled – drunk drivers ended up with their cars on the roof

Two drivers in Tyrol looked too deeply into the glass before setting off on Friday. Both in Fließ (Landeck district) and in Grän (Reutte district), car drivers ended up with their vehicle on its roof after an accident. One of the two fled the scene of the accident but was found.

The first accident occurred around 8 p.m. A 38-year-old was driving his car uphill on a municipal road in Fließ. “He ended up on a rising mountain wall,” the police say. After traveling around three meters on the wall, the vehicle crashed and landed on its roof. The driver was lucky and was able to free himself from the car. There was severe damage to the vehicle. An alcohol test on the 38-year-old was positive. He got rid of his “ticket”. Flee from the scene of the accident. The second accident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. A 27-year-old was driving his car on Tannheimer Straße in the direction of Grän. “At the exit of a long left-hand bend, he first went over the right edge of the road and continued on the shoulder for around 150 meters.” Finally, he went over the left edge of the road and crashed into a road embankment. “The car rolled over sideways and ended up lying on its roof in the parking lot of a supermarket.” The driver then ran away from the scene of the accident, but was found at his accommodation around 4 a.m. He remained almost uninjured. The alcohol test was positive for him too. The car was totaled.
