One Piece Season 2: When does the story of the Straw Hat Gang continue on Netflix?

“One Piece” was first published as a manga in 1997, and since then a new chapter has been published every week in Japan. Although “One Piece” author Eiichiro Oda already has an end in mind, it is not yet clear when Luffy’s journey will actually end. The pirate saga is not only extremely extensive, but also unique due to its constantly flowing plot.

While the anime adaptation of “One Piece” was able to follow the example of the manga, Netflix had to bundle the beginning of the story for the live-action adaptation into a well-rounded season. Alvira, Buggy, Captain Black alias Beauregard, Arlong and Luffy’s grandfather represented the adversaries in season 1, in the end Luffy was rewarded with his first wanted poster, his own ship and a crew. One Piece: When does season 2 start on Netflix?

Since “One Piece” landed at number 1 in the Netflix charts in 84 countries on its first weekend, the series was renewed for a second season just two weeks after its launch. This good news was announced by series creator Eiichiro Oda himself. It is not yet known when the new episodes will come. However, we assume that we will be on our way to the Grandline in autumn 2024.

“One Piece” Season 2: This is what continues!

Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Zorro and Usopp head for the Grandline in the Flying Lamb. But first the pirates will stop in Loguetown. The city where Gol D. Roger was once executed is the last stop before the Grandline and it is here that Luffy’s crew will meet Smoker, who was briefly shown in the Season 1 finale.

The naval officer Smoker wants to stop all the pirates before they can even begin their search for the One Piece on the Grandline. A dangerous opponent, but not the only obstacle for Luffy and Co.

Alvira and Buggy are also interested in the bounty that has been placed on Luffy and are hunting the cheerful pirate. And then there is the Baroque company, which was already mentioned in season 1 and is likely to cause problems again and again in season 2.

It is not yet known whether all the actors from “One Piece” will return. However, at least the main roles will still be played by Inaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar.

Jeff Ward as Buggy, Morgan Davies as Koby, Aidan Scott as Helmeppo, Peter Gadiot as Shanks, Steven John Ward as Hawkeye and Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Alvira can also be expected to return.

Just like season 1, season 2 is also supported by series creator Eiichiro Oda.
