Pasta, pasta, pasta! Hard to believe, but a delicious, fresh pasta dish in the style of a star chef doesn’t take that much time. Steffen Henssler (49) shows his one-pot pasta in “Henssler’s Fast Number” – and how you can conjure up a delicious recipe in no time.

What do you need?

  • 1/2 piece of red onion
  • 1 piece garlic clove
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 250 grams of pasta (e.g. mussel pasta)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 can peeled tomatoes
  • 20 grams of Parmesan
  • 4 stalks/sprigs of basil

Fast, easy and super tasty – Here’s how!

Step 1: The onion is cut into small cubes and the garlic cloves are chopped.

Step 2: 2 tablespoons of olive oil are heated in a saucepan and the chopped onion and garlic are sautéed in it. Cut the bacon into fine strips and add to the pot. Then add tomato paste and roast for about 2 minutes.

Step 3: Add the noodles (mussel noodles) and sauté. Season with salt. Then the tomatoes are added. Pour in 300 ml of water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and cook with the lid on over a medium heat for about 12 minutes.

Step 4: Remove the lid and stir everything. Grate the parmesan, pluck the basil leaves and pour over the pasta – voila!
