One river, one vision – fishermen ensure that life in Vellach is preserved

On Monday, around 25,000 tiny brown trout, measuring only two to three centimeters in size, were carefully released into the water with the great hope that a large proportion would survive. The second class of the Gallizien elementary school was allowed to release thousands of fish babies at the Müllnerner bridge. “After all, we also want to get the youngest kids excited about the project,” emphasizes Setz. The students participated with enthusiasm. Afterwards, there was a small snack for refreshment, which some of the students ate on the rocks of the Vellach.
