Three people were injured, some seriously, in a collision between two vehicles on Vienna’s federal highway (B1) on Wednesday evening. Two emergency vehicles were on site.
The two cars collided on the B1 near Eggerberg between Neumarkt am Wallersee and Henndorf. Two people were slightly injured and one person was seriously injured in the collision. The vehicles are likely to have collided into each other without braking. The seriously injured man had to be cut out of the car with rescue shears. The Red Cross was on site with two emergency vehicles, among others. The volunteer fire departments from Henndorf and Neumarkt helped rescue the injured. The vehicle occupants were taken to hospitals in the state capital.
